Tea Room
An opportunity to discover culinary taste treats popular in the 1890's awaits the visitor to the Queen's Parlour Tea Room, located in the area of the Castle which was originally occupied by the greenhouse and later an open terrace, but now is a glass-enclosed room with a spectacular view, free from the whims of Colorado mountain weather changes.
When the Tea Room was in the planning stages, Victorian menus from regional hotels were studied and authentic recipes were collected. From this research of 1890's culinary arts, the Tea Room's original menus were created, and have been further developed over the years.
Year round, High Tea and Light Victorian Tea feature delicious homemade scones served with Devonshire cream, infused butters, and preserves, an assortment of vegetables, a fruit flute, a variety of Victorian-style sandwiches, and a sampling of several lovely desserts, as well as accompaniments. Both are full meals from which you will not go away hungry!
All Teas are by advance reservation only, with a credit card. Enjoy a self-guided tour of the Castle for a reduced price, when in conjunction with Tea.

Winter Hours:
Tues. - Sat. : 10:00 am - 4:00 pm Sunday : Noon - 4:00 pm
Closed Easter Day, Christmas Eve and Day, New Years Eve.
In the event of inclement weather, call to see if the Castle is open.
Summer Hours:
Memorial Day Weekend - Labor Day Daily : 9:00 am - 5:00 pm
Cost for High Tea
High Victorian Tea - $25.00 per person.
An advance credit card reservation is required; limited days and times.
Light Victorian Tea - $18.00 per person
No reservation is required; available when the Tea Room is open.
Prices includes tax and gratuity.
Tea Room Reservations
Through Labor Day, the Tea Room opens at 11:00am daily for walk-in guests. No reservations are required for luncheon or for Light Victorian Tea. Reservations for groups of eight or more are recommended.
High Teas are offered Tuesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday at 2PM by advance reservation only!
After Labor Day, the Tea Room is open Saturday & Sunday for Teas only at 12 noon and 1pm, by reservation only. Group luncheons (15 or more) are still available during the week by advance reservation only.
