Stop 1 of the tour: The Entrance Alcove
The reed organ has two foot pedals for pumping air through it. Nine different voices echo through the alcove when it is played. The clock above the organ has the undated legend "Brass Clocks made and Sold by Seth Thomas, Plymouth Hollow, Connecticut." Even after a century, the clock keeps good time and chimes out the hours (as long as it is wound daily).
